HEA panel (high Energy Absorption) is a wire mesh made by weaving a single high-strength galvanized-coated steel wire rope into a panel that can be anchored onto rocky slopes to mass loosened rocks. A special steel knot binds the intercepting steel wire rope with a strong unravelling force. Soil nails anchor the panels, which can be shackled together for extensive coverage. The entire unstable slope can be dressed up as active rockfall protection.
